Jean Esperson-Golden
"I love creating new jewelry; I'm hooked! As a self-taught metal smith, I
constantly seek to hone my skills and learn new techniques. For now,
this is a side job since I am still working as a language teacher in a
public school. My mother taught me how to sew at a young age. I loved
trying new patterns and sewing intricate patterns. During craft shows, I
offer travel jewelry bags and decorative pillows (I still love to sew).
Most of the jewelry pieces I create are texture hammered incorporating silver with copper or gold. Some of the pieces are made from PMC (precious metal clay) mixed with pearls or beads. I love the warmth, natural and organic look of the mixed metals. My inspiration comes from studying jewelry and nature."
